Delta Zeta Puppy Jam

Our Puppy Jam supports our local service project partner, PAWS.  Centre County PAWS was established in 1980. For over 30 years they have been committed to finding forever homes for cats and dogs, educating citizens on responsible pet ownership, providing spay/neuter assistance, and ending pet overpopulation.  PAWS is a non-euthanasia, member supported, volunteer enabled organization dedicated to the Promotion of Animal Welfare and Safety.

Each spring semester we partner with FIJI, Phi Gamma Nu Fraternity, to host this event.  Everyone loves to play with and cuddle dogs!  PAWS brings some of their residents to FIJI’s lawn and anyone can pay an entrance fee to hang out with these adorable adoptees!

Delta Zeta raised over $2,000 in 2016 to assist PAWS in caring for animals until they find a Fur-ever Home.  We hope to surpass this amount on April 2nd, 2017!

American Red Cross Blood Drive

The Red Cross Blood Drive was Wednesday, February 4th 2014 from 10am-4pm in the Hetzel Union Building (HUB).

The Red Cross is a humanitarian organization that provides emergency assistance and disaster relief. The organization holds various blood drives throughout the year to obtain blood of all types for those in need. https://www.redcross.org/donate/neu0215-c?flow=oc1

Volunteers of Delta Zeta welcomed potential donors at the reception area, served refreshments and snacks to participants after their blood donations, and promoted the event via holding and posting signs throughout campus encouraging the community to donate.

Our blood drive was a success and we were able to collect 90 units of blood, this potentially can save up to 270 lives.

The Color Run

The Color Run was founded in March 2011 as an event to promote healthiness and happiness by bringing the community together to participate in the “Happiest 5k on the Planet”. We are the original paint race and have created a completely new genre of running events that continues to grow exponentially.
